Newborns prefer when speech is synchronised with lips I helped Bahai Guellai on her impressive piece of work: we show that babies can make the difference between lip-synchronised and lip-unsynchronised speech, which means they could use that information for lip-reading and learn to talk. It is very surprising when you think they are just born a few hours ago and can already do that. See the paper here!
